Inclusive Green Finance: a Regulatory Agenda
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Climate & Green Finance
Room Edmond Dune - second floor

Inclusive Green Finance (IGF) is an emerging policy priority, championed by central banks, financial regulators and investors, to help mitigate, and build resilience to, the negative impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss while balancing sustainability goals with inclusion objectives. Based on research, international approaches and experiences, the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) together with the ADA Chair in Financial Law (inclusive finance) has drafted a roadmap to implement IGF policies (IGF Roadmap). The IGF Roadmap provides guidance on what central banks and financial regulators can do, on both a small and large scale, to further both financial inclusion and enhance climate change resilience in the Global South. The panel will introduce the IGF Roadmap to the audience and discuss which challenges regulators and investors face in creating, and enhancing an inclusive sustainable finance environment.
