Since November 2022, Julia Sinnig is a postdoctoral researcher at the ADA Chair in Financial Law (inclusive finance) at the University of Luxembourg. She has defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Luxembourg in the field of digitalisation and taxation in December 2020, for which she has received two international awards.
Her current research interests focus on the regulation of investment funds, taxation of investment funds, Luxembourg commercial law as well as inclusive, digital and sustainable finance. She is the author of more than 40 publications in the field of digitalisation, taxation, commercial law and investment fund regulation in Luxembourg, European and international law. She further functions as co-editor-in-chief of the Cahiers de fiscalité luxembourgeoise et européenne, a multilingual journal in Luxembourg, European and international tax law published by Larcier.
Julia has held presentations and lectures at various European universities and institutions; such as Oxford University, WU Vienna, University of Lisbon, Sorbonne University Paris, University of Turin, Johannes-Kepler-University Linz.
She currently works on an article-by-article commentary on EU Sustainable Finance Regulation (CUP UK, 2024), a book on investment fund regulation and taxation in Luxembourg (Larcier, 2024) and several publications on crypto-asset funds.
Julia publishes and teaches in French, English and German language.
