Kaspar Wansleben is the Managing Director of Investing for Development, a Luxembourg based impact investment fund manager. Kaspar has a background in development finance, microfinance and nature based solutions. He manages the Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund since 2009 and the Forestry and Climate Change Fund since 2017. During his work for IforD Kaspar held board positions with MFX Solutions and the Higher Education Finance Fund as well as representing the Fund on the board of investees.

Kaspar’s background is in finance & development and he is a chartered accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales while having previously worked at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva and PlanetFinance in Paris. He worked for KPMG for 5 years, is a visiting lecturer at the Luxembourg University on social entrepreneurship. In 2022, Kaspar was nominated as a member of the Luxembourg High Council for Sustainable Development.
