Thirty years ago, Jean-Baptiste understood lack of energy access while he was building a school in rural areas of Burkina-Faso. Back in France he worked a couple of years in the telecom industry at the heart of the telecom revolution. Then he spent two years as COO for a French NGO in Kenya, which gave him his first experience with off-grid life in Somalia. In 2012, inspired by his experience in Africa, he started an entrepreneurial project in rural electrification in Sub-Saharan Africa during his MBA. In 2016, he co-founded Qotto, to provide access to three essential services to rural populations in Sub Saharan Africa. At Qotto Jean-Baptiste focuses on strategic partnerships.
