Mrs. Tina Livingston is the Chief Operations Officer at COK Sodality Co-op Credit Union Ltd, located in Jamaica, she has over 28 years of experience in the Credit Union Movement. She has dedicated her career to improving the well-being of the organization and by extension its members.
Because of her passion and belief in sustainable energy, she was selected by her organization to lead the Eco Micro Project which was offered to COK by way of a grant from Global Affair Canada and coordinated by the Inter-American Development Bank. This project led to the creation of a renewable energy financing program where financing became an offering to low and middle-income householders to access loans towards sustainable renewable energy products such as Solar Systems.
So successful was the Eco Micro Project that COK Sodality received recognition and was awarded “Best Energy Efficiency Project” at the recently held Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum 2023 in Miami, Florida.
Mrs. Livingston has also assisted in propelling COK Sodality ahead of all other credit unions and by extension most if not all other financial institutions in Jamaica; by introducing a Climate Risk Assessment Software via an API with the CU’s loan origination and core banking systems in collaboration with the YAPU Team. The utilization of this software allows the CU to build the adaptive capacity of its members in relation to their Homes and Businesses while making them more resilient to Climate Change.
Her passion for protecting our planet and designing affordable credit solutions makes her a well-equipped, suitable, and qualified individual to speak from an informed position as it relates to Green/Resilient Financing.
Mrs. Livingston holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Technology. She is married and has one child.
