Sam is Financial Inclusion Specialist at e-MFP and is lead author of various e-MFP publications, including the annual Financial Inclusion Compass survey of sector trends, and the annual European Microfinance Award publication. He has published widely on various areas including responsible exits, developing a consumer protection code for the off-grid energy sector, offshore centres, and the history of crises in microfinance, among various others. Sam has worked in various capacities for e-MFP since 2011, but has been part of the core team since 2018. He has undergraduate degrees in Science and Laws from University of Western Australia, and a M.Sc in International Public Policy and a LL.M in Public International Law - both from University College London). He lives in Surrey, UK, and adamantly voted Remain.
