Gender equity and women's empowerment has become one of the main social objectives of the sector. But this is not only about how many women we serve, but rather, about developing holistic gender mainstreaming initiatives both at the client and operational level as well as the institutional one: how are providers' financial and non-financial services adapted to women clients’ needs and the barriers they face? And what are the best governance and human resources policies to protect and promote women staff, and facilitate their representation in leadership? Speakers from Accion and Entrepreneurs du Monde, together with two of their affiliate FSPs, BancoSol from Bolivia and Anh Chi Em from Vietnam, will share insights on the strategies they are developing and implementing to mainstream gender throughout their networks and in their organisations.
