4:45 PM - 6:00 PM
Financial Health
Room José Ensch - second floor

Exploring the intersection of FSPs, client financial health, and the role of regulators and institutional investors is paramount in today's dynamic financial inclusion landscape. This panel session delves into the business case for FSPs actively promoting the financial health of their clients. We will examine how regulators and institutional investors play a pivotal role in shaping the strategies of FSPs concerning customer financial well-being. In addition, our discussion will turn the spotlight on how FSPs, as proactive agents, can independently contribute to the financial well-being of their clients through, for instance, internal policies, innovative product designs, and client-centric initiatives. This session, organized by the e-MFP’s “From Research to Practice” Action Group, will enrich our discussion by presenting the views of financial inclusion actors such as Financial Health Network, Lendwithcare, and a former financial regulator. They will shed light on the relevance of financial health in the context of their roles and deliberate on the opportunity to build a business case for financial health.
